DESCRIPTION:

Elafonisi is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in Greece, in the southwestern part of Crete. It is a magical place that consists of a small islet full of white and pink sandy beaches that one can actually walk there from the beach as the water is quite shallow.
The crystal clear turquoise shallow waters in combination with the thin white and coral-red sand create a landscape of unparalleled beauty!
It is named by the word "Elafi", which means deer in Greek because people years ago discovered that you can get easily to the islet on foot like a deer that walked to it.
Elafonissi is an exotic place, full of sand dunes with sea daffodils and jupiners. The endangered loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta Caretta) and several more rare animals and plants find shelter on the island; it is strictly forbidden to remove any plants, animals, shells and sand from the area. The island is home to 110 plant species as well as being a protected area for Androcymbium rechingeri, which is extremely rare.

Exotic beaches with white sand and turquoise water, reminding of the Caribbean, are formed on either sides of the peninsula. The sand is pinkish in many places, taking its color from millions of crushed shells.
Your journey to Elafonisi is very picturesque and the beauty of the landscape is stunning. On the way there, you can go through the beautiful lush green village Elos and the imposing gorge of Topolia.

SCHEDULE:

Your trip will start at 08:30am when you will be picked up from your hotel and it will last for about 8 hrs, so you will be dropped off at your hotel again at 5:00pm.
 

• • Pick up from your hotel at 08:30 and drive through the Topolia Gorge to the south west of Crete.
  • Our escort will give you all the necessary information about our tour in English or Greek
  • Arrival at Elafonisi island about 09:50. Stay for 3 to 5 hours.

Booking Conditions 

Once you decide for your favorite Van Tour and the date of your convenience, please complete the booking form and send it to us. We will then check the availability and provide you with a booking confirmation including all necessary information and details.
Pick you and drop off for all our Van Tours is at the road in front of your hotel.
Your booking does not require a prepayment. Since all our activities are weather dependent we prefer full payment at the beginning of the Van Tour.
A few days before the tour you will receive a further email and we will ask you to confirm again your attendance.
